LFMpire

Do YOU want to work with a developer who understands Internet Marketing, understands how to help you get the best return on your investment and who will treat you honestly and with respect?

“Alex has an encyclopedic knowledge of internet technologies and a great guy to work with.”
Paddy Dent, Head of Development, BGD Group

Dear LFM owner,

If you’ve just grabbed yourself a copy of Launch Formula Marketing, then congratulations - you now own the premier membership site and sales funnel automation product on the market, period.

If you’re here, its probably because you’ve got a great idea for a LFM site that will make you a mint of money.

And its totally realistic - you’ve only got to look at a site like Soren Jordansen’s IMSuccessFormula.com that’s done WELL OVER $50K in sales to see that this script can change your life forever.

Maybe you just want an install.

Maybe you need a few bits and pieces customising here and there.

Maybe you want the script re-writing to do a load of stuff it was never designed to do!

Anything is possible

In comparison to all the other membership site scripts, LFM is a breeze to install, a breeze to work with and gives you more killer commercial features than any of its competition - even the ones that have been given away for “free” ;-)

I should know. I’ve been working with different membership scripts since 1999.

Hi. My name’s Alex Poole.

“Alex is an extremely knowledgeable software developer who understands a lot about the intricacies of making a web application work. This never prevented him, anyway, from being a really nice chap and, most importantly, to lose sight of the broader picture of the business. At a time of great pressure on us all in the company, he kept his cool, did his job professionally, and always did his best to respond to the ever increasing complexity of tech specs coming from us in Product Management. I would have no hesitation to recommend him to anyone looking for a professional senior software developer.”
Marco Massenzio, VP Product Management, Library House

In 1998 I was doing customer services for Sony Computer Entertainment - the PlayStation people. It was a dead-end job even if it was a cool company, bang in the middle of London’s West End.

In 1999 I was headhunted by an ex-colleague to set up the customer services for Freeloader.com. The company had 20 salespeople and 1 programmer! The guy was booked up with work for six months! When I asked him to help me out with a few customer-focussed changes to the website, he laughed at me and said something that changed my life:

“You’re going to have to learn to do this yourself if you ever want it done.”

He recommended I took a look at a new up-and-coming web programming language called PHP, and I popped down to Borders there and then and bought a book.

Fast forward ten years, and I’ve had a whirlwind career working on some of the UK’s biggest and coolest websites, including:

www.LoveFilm.com (that’s our version of NetFlix if you’re in the US)
www.Nissan.co.uk
www.Jolt.co.uk and
www.Infogrames.co.uk

I’ve done programming, database administration (Lovefilm’s database is larger than you can imagine!) and even SEO (Jolt still has some of the most coveted rankings in the online gaming market to this day) and PPC (in the madly competitive double glazing market, of all things!)

I’ve worked for some top marketers too - I was writing scripts for one of the original UK Internet Marketers, Neil Shearing, back in 2003.

Why Robert didn’t come to me for LFM I’ll never know :-)

(Truth is, we hadn’t met back then…)

“Alex is a very talented and experienced developer with very fluid skills and can adeptly use them to create solutions to practically any technical problem and at great speed. His understanding and knowledge of building modular, scalable online systems sets him apart from many developers I know.”
Nick Harrison, CTO, Library House

Back in Christmas 2008 the company I was working for as Chief Technical Officer, a little marketing agency in Norwich, went bust, and I found myself looking for a job. I realised I’d had quite enough of working for a boss (my last CEO was a real classic!) so I teamed up with a friend and we “went it alone.”

We’re building sites for ourselves and for clients. I’ve never been busier, but I’ve never had more fun!

My partner Ian will laugh at me when he reads this, but the truth is you probably don’t need to hire us!

I’m not joking.

Most of the things you’re going to want to do with LFM can be done by using the admin interface in clever ways. Its a nicely put-together script, and flexibility is one of its key strengths.

However, some things will need some code writing.

Of course we could do this for you but I must warn you: we’re not the cheapest - not by a long chalk!

If you want cheap code slapped together, probably best head over to RentaCoder.com now. You’ll get quotes ranging from pennies to thousands for any job you care to mention. Find someone with a bit of feedback - tell them exactly what you want done and leave them to it. The system will mean you don’t pay until you’ve got a working job.

The problem with these sort of freelancing sites, though, is most marketers don’t know what they want - at least not in terms a programmer can turn into code.

One of the things that really interested me about Robert was, not only did he outsource the development of LFM (Phew! You should see the man try to do the most basic HTML :-) ) but he outsourced the specification of the work too.

* This is crucial *

Most coders - especially the cheap ones - will only do what they’re told. That’s fine if you know what you want - in detail - and can get it down on paper in a format a coder will understand. But most marketers don’t know where to start when it comes to that.

That’s where we will help you.

We can do all or any of the following for you:

  • Talk through your project (don’t worry - we’ll sign a Non Disclosure Agreement if you like, though I have to tell you this - we’ve got too many ideas of our own to build already, so we’re really not in the business of resorting to stealing anyone elses!)
  • Recommend the best course of action for you to take, to get the job you want done at a price that’s in your budget.
  • Specify the job in “coder speak” with the information in the right format and level of detail - so any half decent coder would know what they needed to do.
  • Manage the outsourced contract for you.
  • Test the finished product to make sure it does what we specified.
  • Get the new code up and running on your LFM site so you’re good to go.

OK, so this is where the close and the call to action usually comes.

Robert will laugh when he notices there’s no Buy Now button here, and there’s not even an autoresponder signup form anywhere on this site!

Truth is, I’ve got too much to do and never enough time, and I don’t see that situation changing for a long time!

Of course I’ll work with you if you’re serious, but I’m not going to pester you to get your credit card out.

Its up to you - you can close this browser window and carry on looking for someone to do your site for $50 or you can get in touch with me for a FREE 15 minute consultation over Skype or IM and get your project done properly.

Your next step?

We’ll arrange a time to talk, and take it from there. No pressure. If you don’t want to work with us after then, that’s fine - there’s no commitment and there’ll be no hard feelings.

So the ball’s in your court - will you drop it or will you get it rolling?

Sincerely

Alex Poole
