OpenSSL PHP - Ugly little class which nevertheless encapsulates the basic useful asynchronous encryption and decryption functionality of the OpenSSL PHP module. Want to store things on a shared server that even the sysadmin can't read? ;-)

PC Security

PC Security Secrets Revealed (PDF - 550Kb) - I wrote this in 2003 (though it's quite possibly more relevant now then it was then, as security issues become ever more of a concern for anyone online.) I used to charge $17.47 for it on ClickBank, and sold a fair few copies. Now grab a copy for free with my compliments, and take at least some of the simpler actions it recommends, to save yourself a pile of pain.

This is the same document that some internet marketers who bought the reprint rights from me in 2004 are still selling today for over $20. It discusses where to get free firewalls, free spyware software and free anti-virus (which I've been using for 5+ years now with no problems thus far...)

Stop wasting time

This quick video shows you how to use a couple of handy tools in conjunction to dissuade yourself from visiting timewasting websites, checking your email all the time or any of those other myriad of things you can do online to waste hours. Control yourself, or at least enjoy the illusion of control for a little while...

Resize Images

This Resize Image script will take any jpg, png or gif up to 1280 x 1280, and resize it, maintaining aspect ratio, to any size you wish. Handy. Grab the Resize Images PHP Source code if you wish. It is offered with no warranty, implied or otherwise, as always. Neither do I have much time to offer support for this script, although you will find the code reasonably well commented.
